Journey to the Planets

Hey all,

Been a while since I last posted (or used my scope) but we're coming up to xmas and I'll be home from uni and stargazing again soon enough.

Anyway, saw this programme on the National Geographic channel last night and thought you guys might appreciate a heads up. It's no Wonders of the Solar System but still entertaining and educational. As the title suggests I think they're doing an episode on all the planets and last night they looked at Jupiter and its moons, focussing on its climate and the Galileo probe from the 80s/90s and what it discovered.

Europa came in for a lot of attention because of the water under the ice. They think they might be able to get a submersible under the ice in the forseeable future where life could be in abundance!

Mars next Friday night, National Geographic channel, 8.00pm
