Jupiter - 27th November 2010

Bit of a late post as I have had problems with my back since Sunday.

I did these drawings Saturday night, seeing was II at 1800UT but deteriorated to II/III by 1830UT.

Telescope used was a Skywatcher 10" F/4.7 Dobsonian at x240.

Jupiters altitude was around 32'

The outbreak has grown quite long now.

some great detail there, youv'e seen more in the SEB revival than i have so far!

Thanks Chris, I'm using a 10" Skywatcher Newt which is surprisingly good. I also used a 50% ND filter to reduce the glare which helped.

I've never had a scope big enough to need an ND filter on planets.....envy!

Fine drawings David. I'm starting to struggle now with the position of Jupiter as it ends up behind a large tree and houses by 9.30pm where I am
