Odd little problem

Recommended Posts

Normally I cover my scope w hen I take a break but it had been exceptionally clear all night, so I thought there would be no problem. Well I think there was a flash rain because when I came out the outside of my tube was wet, far wetter than what I'd think dew would do, also what was weird I also checked once or twice since ive been inside, and no clouds. The optics were fuzzy, and my question is what do I do about cleaning or will it go away on it's on?

You'd sbe amazed how much dew can build up. I have seen mine looking as thoughts been dunked in the bath......the fuzzy optics are almost for sure dew.

A dew shield will help a lot with this but if the dew is super bad, and I have had few nights like that, then it's time to pack up. I have had it so bad that the primary is awash and the eps are wet as soon as they come out of the case.

Just lie the scope horizontal in a warm room with the end caps off and it will dry out on it's own.
