EQMOD Timeout

I'm setting up EQMOD on a new computer driving an EQ6 via a Hitec EQDIR module. The module is on COM4, and everything seems setup OK but I keep getting Connection error: Timeout displayed on the EQMOD control panel when I try to connect. The EQDIR module worked OK when I tried it a few weeks ago using my existing setup.

Any suggestions?
