Jupiter: 25/10/10

Recommended Posts

Jupiter from the 25th October 2010. Seeing was only average and so only a small amount of fine detail was present. Some nice rifts present in the NEB and the STB is still fragmentary in nature. A number of dark sections present in the STB.

Io is very close to the proc. limb and crossed behind Jupiter at 2015UT according to my observations (but seeing was poor by then!)

All best wishes,

-Paul.

Nice one Paul. It's interesting comparing your drawing to mine of 16 Oct with System I at roughly the same CM. The two protrusions into the EZ and the dark line in the southern component of the NEB on the following limb, along with some rifting detail look similar to yours. Good stuff
