Hello,

I am new to astronomy and have really enjoyed viewing Jupiter, I never get bored of it. I have couple of questions:

a) Is Jupiter this clear and prominent in the sky every year?

When will it disappear from our night sky?

a) No

early next year it will be setting around evening time and shortly after will be gone until early next summer. However it will be a few degrees higher in the sky so we should get slightly better views of it.

Have you downloaded Stellarium? You can run the program forward to see what the night sky will appear like in the future.

Agree with Kris - it also depends on the seeing - when it's low it can appear to "bubble and boil" in average seeing
