Power adapter for Flextube auto?

I've finally taken the plunge and ordered a Skywatcher Skyliner 250 Flextube Auto. :)

Will the 12v 1amp power adapter I currently use on my Skymax 127 Alt/Az Goto work ok on the Flextube? Will it be under powered and if so could this cause damage or just mess up the tracking?
