SkyLiner 200P FlexTube AUTO with a DSLR

Recommended Posts

Hi, from a newbie. I'm toying with getting a SkyLiner 200P FlexTube AUTO (8"?) and was wondering whether you can fix a camera to it like you can with other types / models? If you can am I best sticking to around 8" as a noob user?

I was looking through a slightly larger Dob last night and was verybimpressed with it.

Cheers

Peter

You'd probably need to add some weights to the bottom to counterbalance the tube, as these tend to be quite top heavy.

Also, the dob mount wont be suitable for long exposure photography, and the tracking on the flextube probably isn't accurate enough for that either. If you wanted to do long exposure stuff at a later date, then you could mount the tube on an equatorial mount
