Summer Triangle

I'm posting this re-process of "Goodbye Summer!" in a new thread because having gone through the data again it's like a totally new image. I couldn't believe how much came out with a proper gradient removal and more careful processing.

I was pleased to find the Elephant trunk nebula showed up, as well as B168, of Cocoon nebula fame. NGC 6940 looks like it's worth a visit in the eyepiece. Coathanger come out nicely as well!

You did a good thing when you did the reprocess on this Andrew.

You turned a good Widefield Image Into a veritable feast.

It is astonishing what can be achieved with a good lens, and this proof positive. I find the Widefield shots of the MW just fantastic, and I would like to see a Digital Projector throw this one onto a large screen. Without being discourteous to DSO imaging, I like these "proper astronomy" pics, and I hope this one inspires others to do some.
