thinking of mount for 200p

Hey all i was thinking of getting a tripod for my 200p, as i would like to move into imaging.

I would like to buy the best tripod so it wouldnt need replaced later on.

Would a £400 budget(for tripod not anything else) buy what i need or should i save ma pennys for a wee while longer?

You could save up another £100 then get a second hand HEQ5 Synscan Pro for £500.

You definitely don't want to think about anything less than the HEQ5 as Glider suggests, ideally an EQ6 would be all the mount you need for that scope but this is gonna stretch your budget to beyond breaking.

If you get into this imaging lark seriously, as I am just about to, you will want to consider the potential of future guiding possibilities which would result in adding a guide scope, guide camera then there is coma correctors, flatteners etc etc.......
