EP advice for 200p dob (f5.9)

Recommended Posts

Hi, not long purchased the above scope and was after some advice on high powered eye pieces for planetary observing in good detail - i've been advised to get the Celestron XL but been told the Williams SWAN's are a good ep also - has anyone had any great success with the above or if not can you recommend a good ep for the above scope when viewing planets?

Cheers

TV plossls give a 50 degree field of view - which is 'normal' for this type of eyepiece, as Earl says though the quality is top notch!

The 8mm plossl will give a 20 arcminute FOV in your scope and a mag of 148x, however to increase the field and maintain the magnification you would be paying an awful lot more than for a plossl!

Good luck in your search - EP selection is a subject all by itself!
