Polar Scope revisited

Recommended Posts

I am doing whatever i can to improve my polar alignment.

So my starting point is my Polar Scope in the mount.

I Have tweaked it now so the drift is the width of the lines on the reticule its still there i do notice a small rotation, does this need to be absolutely on the button?

Zero rotation?

it would be nice if the center was not a cross hair as it covers what your looking at LOL

I have tried and just cant get it any closer.

The lines are just to thick to see what's going on and where its out.

So thats out the way.

Now what im working on are these setting circle things.....

I have read Astrobabys guide on this and I really dont get it.

From what I can work out I need to set the dials so I can line up polaris at a certain point with the marks on the zero line on the scope?
