resonator77
Idea was to image Jupiter with one shot color webcam but I forgot to change the codec in IC capture and 10 GB avi wasted Fortunately managed to image the moon as well with mono cam before the fog set in after five minutes... barkis
Well at least you salvaged something. That's a great approach to landing kind of shot.Memories of the Apollo series, and a good one too.Ron.
the_laughing_crow
Lol, i did exactly the same thing.... imaged the moon first, then switched to jupiter and forgot to switch back to colour. Two hours capturing black and white jupiter results @ :http://stargazerslounge.com/imaging-planetary/114291-another-long-line-1st-jupiters.htmlAs an aside, when lunar imaging, is it better to stack lots of dim frames or fewer brighter frames? resonator77
Thank you Ron,The laughing crow, you dont have to stack mixture of dim or bright frames. You collect around 1000 or more frames then stack them using ft with registax or Avistack, the software culles the bad frames and you left with fewer better frames.
