Is the SPC900NC the same as...

... an SPC880 hardware wise? Just a matter of flashing the firmware and its the same product?

Thought I got a bargin buy when i won my SPC900NC for £50 last month but a friend has told me the 880 can be had for £6 and then its just a case of flashing.

So is it time to sell the 900 for the older model and flash away or is there a difference?

As far as i know the only difference is the firmware, in the respect that the flashing from 880 to 900 gives you more control over the camera features, ie. Gain, Exposure, Contrast etc etc

Could be wrong, or there may be more to it, someone else might add, but thats just what i know

Just rang the guy and he confirmed the hardware is the same, so i ordered two

Glad I did as tonight i was planning the butchering!! The 900 will be back on ebay asap.
