450D or 1000D?

Hey guys, the other halfed asked which camera id like. I havent a clue! Its 1) to get me started in AP BUT also as a hobby camera, and something which we can take away on holidays and so forth with us.

I dont want to Mod the camera, and i know the pros and cons as to the impact this will have on AP but im cool with that!

But, from an AP point of view which would be better unmodded, the 450D or the 1000D?

450D if she's paying...

The 450D has smaller (but more) pixels, a larger LCD screen, more advanced AutoFocus and has a 14-bit ADC (which may improve astroshots but I'm not convinced yet).

haha thanks for the replies guys, well thats kind of definitive then! the 450D hands down by the sounds of it!

She is paying, but as with all things, i have to get her something nice now! I have no idea what.....a big Diamond maybe? lol
