Timothyterpsalot
Apparently "Push Here Dummy" wasn't as easy as it is made out to be. I am using a CG-5 guiding a EOS7D/400mm lens combo with an ST80. I followed the directions perfectly and even though it says "guiding" on the bottom of PHD, it is clearly not. During calibration the star moves a few mm in strange directions and sort of comes back to the middle. Then it says guiding. I watch the star for several minutes as it wanders slowly in odd directions and SSAG fails to follow it. I couldn't even get a 30 second exposure without seeing funny shaped trails. Without the autoguider using a rough polar alignment I get get exposures up to a minute with this setup. Any ideas? Thanks!
