First go at widefield

Recommended Posts

Nothing even close to what is posted here usually but I was dying to have a go at widefield as the moon and Jupiter are hiding behind some trees at night so I can't have a go at imaging them with my dob.

So I just whacked my 400d unmodded on a stool, 30mm lens at f1.4, 20 second exposure, 800 iso and this is what I ended up with (after a lot of photoshop-fu)

milkyway3.jpg?psid=1

No flats or darks, just a single exposure, sadly I don't know what is noise and whats a star :o
