Sky watcher Blues

I picked up a rather blue looking skywatcher OTA for a rather cheap price with some decent optics last weekend and decided that the blue is pretty horrid.

I i like the new black Tubes more and decided to give it a bit of a paint job

As you can see in the first two pics i am making some good space around the kids stuff that they leave around to try to break my ankles when i am out at night observing.

The first pic shows the grey primer, I removed all parts down to the tube, primed inside and out. then sprayed the inside with a black Matt and the outside with a gloss.

Did the same to the finder also.

The new question on my lips is... do I recolour the rings, Ends, Finder Holder and Focuser white

Yep, have to agree black is cooler than blue.
