gimped up jupiter

was just mucking about with GIMP for the first time and i thought i would add some moons to jupiter i shot last night,thoughts? lol

Did you know you can map a sphere in Gimp? You could make your own Jupiter if you can't get a decent image.

If you create a square work area, say 400x400 (it must be square or the map will come out oval) and fill it with coloured brush strokes or any shapes you like. Then go to: Filters_Map_Map Object.

A box opens that lets you map on to one of four shapes. Plane, Sphere, Box or Cylinder. If you choose Sphere you can map your drawing onto that and make your own planets. You can fiddle with the orientation and lighting until you get what you want.
