ETX 125 Camera bracket

Does anyone know where i can get an etx camera bracket from? the one that clamps round the tube

First choice has to be to go through the various retailers and especially those that sell the ETX 125, or specialise in Meade scopes.

Green Witch often have a selection of items so they could be worth a try. If they have one it may be an original Meade item or it may be an Astro Engineering item. They sell a fair range of AE items.

Could check the Astro Engineering site to see if they manufacture a replacement. However be aware that AE are part of Scope and Skies and you can have troubles getting items out of them if the bit is not actually in stock and to hand.

Their site would however give an idea if they make one and then perhaps GW to supply?

I've been looking for one for over a year.

It appears on the AE website as part number AE023 but they don't do retail sales and I can't find one of these on any retailer's site.

GW are not that far from AE. Ask GW if they can get one?

As said GW stock a lot of AE items, I have visited and they had a lot. Understand GW have moved so not sure what the situation is now. They used to be ideally placed to visit S+S then drive back and visit GW. Not so easy now.

Do AE state a price? If close enough visit and get one.

Actually if AE make then check the S+S site and the Pulsar site.

AE may supply via their "partner" companies Pulsar and S+S.

Have a feeling that I have read that AE say (all ?) their stuff is available through S+S/Pulsar.

In case you didn't know: S+S and Pulsar and AE all operate under the umbrella name of The Nature and Astronomy Centre. All 4 are the same entity. So bit strange if they don't.

Have to say that S+S have problems posting but if you visit they are helpful. Odd bunch in some ways. They happily leave you alone to browse through their cabinets full of eyepieces.

Edit: May have changed their codes but it is listed as: AC023 now.

P.S. See neither of you are close enough to visit them.

Cheers for info, used scope and skies many times with no problem postage etc. But the one on the AE site clips onto base. Im looking for the one that goes around scope.

JMI do it so might just bite the bullet and order from USA!
