Stunning sporadic 11.00pm 10th

Recommended Posts

Just setting up a scope in Bedford around 11.00pm Tuesday 10th with two others and the most stunning meteor passed from Aquila to Hercules. Very bright, much brighter than Venus at its best -6? or brighter but it was the colours that so impressed. Started blue/white then went to green/blue and finished with a flourish of golden sparks. It was slow moving enough for all three of us to turn and get a good look.

Did anyone else on Perseid watch happen to see it?

Best wishes,

Linton
