Jupiter 28th july 3-30am

Last night I took a chance on what I could see rather than the forecast

I've been wanting to grab a Jupiter minus its belt

So out came the Meade 200mm SCT on the Vixen GPDX and the associated adaptors (including the hunt for the C to T fitting lost about 1 hour)

I struggled to start with as Jupiter was in the murk and then the close encounter with the streeet light

I tried the DMK with the filter wheel and 2.5 powermate

Being honest was not getting very far and I dug out the trusty Toucam and the 2.5 powermate using K3CCD tools

I think I could have got the focus better and perhaps there is more in the image

Nice Image.

Could be the focus off or perhaps the seeing. Have another go. If everything falls into place I reckon you'll have a ripper

I typed a lie

It was at native F/L no powermate as the seeing/my rusty techique could not handle it
