Rigel Plossl EP??

Does anyone know if a Rigel 40mm Plossl EP is going to be any good? I.e. will it be as good as say the Series 4000 Meade equivalent? I thought better of just buying it, and to ask the wisdomful SGL first!

The Rigel plossls are OK th think - about the same as most Chinese / Taiwanese plossls. The Japanese Meade 4000's would probably be a bit better but many of those on sale now are Chinese which are not quite as good.

Personally I'd always go for a 32mm plossl in the 1.25" size at it shows the same amount of sky as a 40mm but with a more pleasing 52 degree apparent field of view.
