M13 taken with CPC 925

I took this with a 40D camera with a 25 second exposure on my cpc 925. Steve [ATTACH]37882[/ATTACH]

That is pretty good for 25 sec and can even see a bit of star colour in there, if you stack a few more like that the background should smooth and fainter stars will show more.

John, I did use photoshop on it and it is directly overhead and most of the others failed. I am just getting to grips with this mount for short exposures. The mount itself is rock solid for visual but after a minute or so the stars start to form circles but oh well you cant have everything. Cheers mate.

If I understand you correctly about the stars forming circles it sounds like seriously bad polar alignment. That is not a problem with the mount, it's a problem with where you are pointing it.

Dennis, the mount is an ALT/AZ fork mount and the circular motion is a by product of the tracking, visually it is superb but not for long exposures. I am just playing with it at the moment trying to find out what it is capable of. I use an EQ6 PRO for long exposures. Steve
