Just thought I'd share what I've been up to during this long stretch of crappy weather in my area. Built an electronic focuser with a handheld control from parts out of and old vcr. There is a switch on the back of the handheld to go between 2 speeds, slow and extremely slow Also wired the speed control for the clock drive into the handheld as sometimes when I'm imaging at high mag I found myself needing to adjust for drift. Still need to grind down some rough spots on the metal so I don't cut myself. Feel free to bash on its crappy looks, I built it for function
