Showery weather in the morning allowed observations through the gaps between the cumulus clouds. Seeing was poor to bad.

There are three active areas containing "white light" spots on the solar disk, but none of them are conspicuous:

AR 11073 in the north eastern sector:

AR 11074 near the western limb:

AR 11075 in the southern hemisphere just west of the meridian:

In the northern hemisphere just west of the meridian, there is a remarkable horse-shoe shaped filament:

There are also notable filaments and prominences on the north east limb:

Transparency good between heavy cumulus clouds. Seeing poor to very poor with smearing and much boiling. Temperature 14C, wind NW force 3-4.
