Skywatcher 7-20mm zoom eyepiece

I've had this just over a week now after reading mixed reviews about zoom eyepieces decided to try this for £35 from Scope & Skys (fast delivery).

Overall I'm quite pleased because the zoom is very good for star alignment, the narrow field of view being an advantage to accurate aligning of the finderscope and GOTO. I would certainly recommend this for anyone setting up their scope for imaging with a webcam. Far easier than changing eyepieces which makes it easier to lose the object.

Visually the zoom is less clear than a fixed lens....compared to my 32mm plossl with 2 stacked barlows looking at Saturn the zoom image is less bright and not as crisp. I would not recommend using this zoom instead of fixed lenses for observing.
