M104 - Sombrero Galaxy

Mag: 8.3 galaxy

Constellation: Virgo

Notes: Distinct central brightening, bright area faded gradually across horizontal line from core, fainter halo to north, dust lane made out to south courtesy of faint cap of light beyond it. Possible differences in intensity of light across brighter area of galaxy.

Sketch in 8.5" reflector x126 magnification

TFOV: 0.27 degrees
