Venus and Mercury ,7th April.

First time I have been able to see both Venus and Mercury in an ( almost ) cloudless sky. Tried to get both in the C80 scope , should have take the FR6.3 with me , Mercury was just outside the FOV.

Anyways , taken with the EOS 450D ,55-250 IS lens ( @116mm FL ) ,f5.6 , ISO 400 ,1/45 sec exp' tripod mounted .

Unable , sadly , to get any foreground as a point of reference , except a wee bit of a tree at he bottom right !

Good shot. It is interesting to see how quickly Mercury is rising in altitude in relation to Venus over this last week.
