good seeing tonight

Recommended Posts

Been out with my Garrett 100/45° this evening.

I usually view with the standard eyepieces that came with the binocular,23x and 41x. I did try my UWAN 7mm in one tube which gave me 75x. I was very pleased with the view of Saturn and two satellites.A little washed out with the Moon though.

Other targets were,M81,M82,M45, and NGC 457. I did manage to view M42 it's just about seeable over the roof of my house. I managed A,B,C and D of the Trapezuim though. E and F may well be seen from a dark site.

Clear Skies.

Glen.

A little washed out with the Moon though.

At 75x this is not execptional. A full (or near) moon looks always washed out at that mag.

Only in a bino at 15x but better at 25x the full moon is astounding. Yesterday i saw it in my 22x85. Quite impressive!
