Hi Guys

This is the 2nd imaging session with my 350D Modded (filter removed ) camera.

Details:

250PX

HEQ5 Unguided

350D Modded

55 subs each 40 secs

20 darks

20 flats

ISO 800

prime focus

Stacked in DSS

Processed with CS3

Hi Graham,

Jpeg is a lossy compression which means that when the file sized it reduced you also lose "quality"... the image appears to be very blocky which us typically of very heavt jpeg compression.

When you remove the filter from a DSLR you would normally (especially when using fracs) need to think about filtering out the UV and IR ends of the spectrum unless of course your doing IR pass ... you might want to pick up an R72 filter for use with the cameras lenses and they you can take some "interesting" daylight IR images...
