skywatcher 130 camera adaptor

Recommended Posts

No, probably not - the problem with this scope is that the focuser doesn't travel far enough inwards to bring a DSLR sensor to the point of focus, even when using a normal (fairly slim) T ring adaptor.

By removing the T-ring adaptor and holding the DSLR body up against the focuser tube, you get very close to being in focus, but still not quite (as I recall). You might get somewhere by doing surgery on the focuser to make it travel in further, but even at its current innermost position, it intrudes quite badly into the main tube.

I expect the best option would be to move the mirror up the tube, although I've no idea how you'd go about doing this, and even then you might find you need an extension tube to make eyepieces reach focus after doing this.
