Gordon Brown to extend BST?

Surely in this day and age our employers and institutions can find the flexibility to accommodate a one hour shift in the working day for those who want it?

I've never understood why we find it easier to change clocks than to change the start and end of the working day.

blumming ironic, if we do change it, that despite all the worlds clocks / time zones being based on GMT we won't be using it. just means that mre people will be going to work in the dark when they still feel drowsy rather than home in the dark when they feel tired.
