Lapse photography drift alignment

I have just spent a hour and a bit doing a drift alignment on my fixed mount. I learnt quite a bit on how not to do it!

First I tweaked the mount only a little at first and waited to see any changes during a series of images taken 2 mins apart, I realised you need to adjust the mount so your target star is moved right across the FOV of a DSLR to see any obvious change and it is better to get the direction of change the correct way around!

The final result though really shows up on the PHD guiding graph, it is almost smooth as a babys bottom.
