There are various adapters that allow PAS cameras to be attached to a scope focuser. Not sure it would be a good Idea for a G7, Although there may be someone who has already done so.:)

In any case, you will be restricted to Afocal imaging, which is that your camera lens is held close to your telescopes eyepiece.

This method works OK on the moon, and bright planets, but the camera needs to be held quite steady.

A lot of good lunar shots have been produced just by holding the camera to the eyepiece, exposure times are quite short, which helps to ovecome hand shake. If you have not yet tried it, have a go, and see what happens. You may surprise yourself.

Canon lens adaptor LA-DC58 gives a 58mm thread. Then you want a 58-T2 adapter and a T2 thread for your eyepiece. Try the Astro-Engineering products - AC530 is the T2 ring for the eyepiece, AC526 is a 58-T2 adapter.

You should also consider CHDK for the G7 which will enable 60sec exposures.

I would have thought you would get pretty good results from this camera on DSOs - don't believe people who say that afocal is no good!
