very very damp here

I've been out and had a quick look at 31 & 45 and double cluster

In the 3/4 hour I've had to dry off the eyepieces a couple of times and the secondary 4 times

Oh the joys of truss tube

never mind - midnight approaches and then I will deal with the street lamp

94% humidity here...so very wet I can hear water just dripping off the guttering. I was out for a couple of hours. Secondary dewed over. What do you use to dry your secondary?

Thanks for the info Steve. Being a relative newbie to truss style observing I did wonder how to tackle dewing. Never really had a problem before with my closed tube newtonians

My old newt was open tube - ish

It was a home made tube with big slots cut out

but I can't remember it being as bad as tonight

I've just packed away as it was pee soup when I ventured back out

annoyingly its now cleared again

and seeing as we are away for the weekend (telescopes included) its going to stay packed away tonight
