EQ5 polar scope problem

Could the difference be between the EQ5 and the HEQ5? My HEQ5 came with a polar scope, but do actual EQ5s?

Seems to depend on who makes them. My EQ5 from Astronomica came with one (an illuminated one to boot) while a recently acquired Celestron CG5 didn't. It has the same undersized hole so why make them that way when the standard polar scope doesn't fit unless you remove the tail end completely (easier said than done, the one on my EQ5 doesn't want to budge)?

Hey everyone.

I recently bought a Skywatcher EQ5 mount and it came with the polar scope. I removed the outer dial and front black part in order to fit the scope in. Only problem is, my polar scope isnt threaded on the outside so there's no way it can hold inside. Am I missing something here or am I just a bit too slow
