EQ5 Polar alignment help needed

Can anyone please explain in simple terms, how to properly polar align my EQ5 mount, it is the new white version with a polar scope built in.

Have always done a rough alignment by just pointing the mount north, but now would like to get a more accurate set-up. Cheers.
