Double vision.

Recommended Posts

Hi All.

I recently had a problem with my 25x100 big bins when they started giving me double vision. I thought it was the collimation that had somehow slipped or miss aligned. I kept seeing two of everything, so I had them re-collimated by a reputable repairer, reccomended by Telescope House. I have just received them back but there is absolutely no difference. I still see two of everything. Do bins have to adjust to temperature the same as scopes before using them, or is there a problem with my bins? Can someone help please.

Thanks.

Chris. ;)

Hi Chris,

Double vision is usually caused by improper alignment of the Objective lens, they are either pointing too much inward/outward hence giving you double vision (like when you cross your eyes).

Have your binos been dropped or knocked? Something must have moved them out of alignment!
