So...sent an email with a tech support query to the developer of Art Capture today...

Within the hour a reply.. you just cannot fault that... superb, and thank you Jon for the help and support

Issue was that I had configured the capture app for use with a large format dual monitor display, got home, just the netbook, and the dialogs were off screen, even on my own dual monitor setup (the one in Spain is a monster!).. had a look through the registry, uninstalled -reinstall the app etc...no joy..

Turns out the settings are in an ini file in the windows directory (logical...but ideally should be uninstalled with the app if you're being a pedant with code)

Jon sent a very detailed email, and I have to say thanks for such exemplary support.. not that the software needs much, but it's always nice to know it's there
