Can anyone help with a small machining project?? I have an eyepiece adaptor that need a chamfer machining on the inside at the front so I can get it to fit my antares eyepieces. Its just plain aluminum so its not hard work. I just dont have access to a lathe or know anyone that has..

Have you a 6" stainless ruler? Wipe that around the edge and you shoud be OK - it will take the edge off the corner.

I'll give it a go, but I think it might be a bit of a job with that.. its not a tiny edge chamfer but on of around 45 deg so it will slip over the wider body section of the antares eyepieces and still allow me to screw to the lip inder the eyeshield.

Well, you can always drop it in the post if you can't find anyone local...

If you can hold it down well enough you can probably machine it using a woodworking router if it has carbide bits. Wear glasses and gloves though as the chips will be hot.
