What combination of scopes can I use out of these three

Recommended Posts

I have a skywatcher ED80, an ST80 and an SPX 8" Newt.

At the moment I have the ED80 for imaging and the ST80 for guiding. Would it be possible to have the SPX attached with the ED80 for guiding or would the ED80 with a focal length of 600mm (f7.5) not be up to the job.

I am thinking, or hoping, that with these two scopes attached I can image with the SPX and guide with the ED80 when I want closer in pics and swap it around and guide with the SPX when I want a wider field of view.

The SPX will also give me a better field of view for the small targets I want to image like Stephens quintet.

Let me know what you think.
