Anyone know anything about this scope, or have any direct experience of it?

Hiya Andrew,

I've not used one personally but I've read that it's optics are the same as the Skywatcher ST80. Vixen have used Synta for a few scopes recently including their versions of the ED80 and ED100 recently discontinued I see.

The latest A80SS appears to have a sliding dew shield and a 2" focusser, both of which are improvements over the ST80 of course.
