Our next talk will be held on the 16th October and will be..

Astronomical Observatories I have Visited at Light Pollution Conferences by Martin Morgan-Taylor, De Montfort University

16th October 2009 - 8pm, Priory St.

Martin will be giving us a tour of the observatories he has visited while attending light pollution conferences, and also devote some time to light pollution itself and legal issues surrounding it.

As well as being an amateur astronomer, Martin is a Principal Lecturer in Law and specialises in light pollution and the law. He is a Director of the International Dark-sky Association and a Committee Member of the CfDS. He is interested in imaging technology, planetary and deep-sky imaging as well as visiting observatories.

Our talk are held in the Priory St Centre in York and start at 8pm
