Stargazer Observer Tents.

I have been speaking to several kendrick owners at Kelling, and also helped (kind of) erect one of their new ones.

The idea/design is good, but the realisation is poor for the money. Most of the owners had suffered broken poles it seemed. One chap had been through four, yes four sets of poles. On the older model there is no provision for guy ropes. However the materials for the tents themselves used are good quality, and the stitching was well done. the silver outer tent in particular gave a very dark inside during the day, great for laptops in the sun :D

The new tents are a lot larger, more expensive, but better designed. If you attend Kelling Heath you will hear a legend regarding wind and Kendricks, with the force fo the wind and the number of tents trashed varying wildly depending on who is telling the tale. There are a lot there with big holes in patched up though :D
