Jupiter interrupted by Badger

Didn't get a picture of the intruder (it might have been better than my Jupiter images!)

Something has been digging holes in my garden and the dog chased it off last night. Unfortunately it didn't dig them in the right place for my tripod legs. That's the trouble with badgers, rubbish at astronomy.

However, I digress. Took advantage of a clear night and moved the scope into the best location I could get for the big fella. Still not too high though, but got a couple of images usiing the ATIK camera and Fringe Killer filter. Got the Ganymede shadow but that's about it really. Going to have to wait a year to get better I fear.

Just realised that the first image is not the right date. Silly me.

Here is the right one from the 24th. The second image is still OK.

I reckon that badger was messing with my laptop.
