Software for opening and manipulating .TIF files

Hi, can someone point me in the direction of software capable of opening and manipulating the .TIF images produced by Deep Sky Stacker as I have been unable to find an option in DSS to save the final image as .jpg or .bmp etc.

Gary, if you save as 16Bit tif from DSS, then you can use GIMP to adjust the output. The downside, at the moment, it's 8 bit only, but they are working on making it 16 bit.... it is, however, free.
