Can anyone tell me the position and the magnatude of the ring nebula in august 09

The Ring Nebula (M57) is almost directly overhead in the constellation Lyra. It is faint (Magnitude 9) and not that easy to locate. Look for the bright star Vega (one of the three Summer Triangle stars) and you are almost there. The following little diagram of Lyra should help.
