Successors to SPC900 and Toucam

Since its virtually impossible to come by SPC900NC or Toucam(II) webcams, does anyone know if there are any successors to these that that are capable of decent astro imaging?

For example will the newer SPC1030NC or SPC1330NC do the same job, or are these now based on CMOS rather than CCD chips?

There wasa thread about this a couple of days ago. I think the general consensus was that no, there isn't much that you can buy now that is worth it and the best bet is to get a cheap astro cam (the QHY5 is "only" £160 and SPCs are now £60-£70 on fleabay)...
