What size tube rings for equinox 80ed apo?

Hello all,

Probably a really daft question, but please forgive a newbie. What size tube rings and dovetail plate do I need to mount my skywatcher equinox 80 ed apo refractor to a EQ5? It has an external diameter of 105mm and the skywatcher tube ring I am looking at is 120mm (with approx 117mm internal diameter). Would this suit? Also, what size plate should I get (21 or 15cm)?

I have been told that it would be ok to mount the telescope directly to the mount with only the removable L shaped bracket on the scope. Can anyone verify this as it looks a little flimsy to me.

I'm wondering this myself, I don't trust that L bracket. I'm looking into it if I find anything I will post it up

I had some old tube rings from my Orion ST80, and they fit perfectly
